BREAKING: KANO PILLARS ATTACK AKWA UNITED AFTER LOSS IN KANO

AKWA UNITED ATTACKED IN KANO

The Kano Pillars fans were ferocious after they lost 1-0 to Akwa United. The Sani Abacha Stadium is seen as a fortress ground for the 'Sai Ma Sugida' team who could not handle their loss. They showed discontempt and caused chaos in the stadium wrecking havoc to the away team and her fans.

According to Akwa United's official twitter handle, missiles were thrown into the pitch which hit the ref immediately it was full time. They also reported that tear-gas was sprayed in their dressing room and defenders Ofem Inah and Kodjo Dadzie were seriously beaten.
The team bus was also attacked while they left the stadium.

The coach of the team Effiong Moses was attacked and his head broken from the weapons thrown into the pitch causing him to bleed all over his cloth. It took the intervention of some forcemen who rallied the coach off the scene to avert further danger.

Coach Effiong was part of the Nigerian Male Senior National team that won the Nations Cup title for this country in 1980.
The fans also threatened to beat up the Referee while some of the hostile fans threw stones, sachet water into the pitch. Players and officials of Akwa United had to be locked inside the dressing room, while waiting for security reinforcement before they were ferried out of the stadium.

Following the rules of the league, this should earn Kano Pillars heavy sanctions from the LMC, including banishment to a neutral ground.
